IDHS National Show Committee Members

The National Show Committee and Officers of the National Council of the Irish Draught Horse Society were present to outline the full Show Schedule of 16 Showing Classes, a Ridden Class and a Stallion Exhibition.

Galway Crystal trophies will be presented to the winners of the Championships and were on display at the launch.

John Burke, the National Show Chairman, welcomed everyone and thanked the organising committee for their hard work to ensure the success of the Show. He thanked the sponsors for their generous support and wished all exhibitors every success.

Anne Loughnane, Chairman of the Irish Draught Horse Society, spoke of her satisfaction that the National Show has returned to Galway Racecourse. She mentioned the great atmosphere at the 2006 National Show in Ballybrit and looked forward to an equally successful event on the 28th of September. Complimenting the Show Committee, she remarked that a successful show depends on the work done beforehand in preparation for Show Day and she expressed full confidence that this work has been carried out.

Refreshments and finger food were served and overall it was a very enjoyable occasion.
