It is understandable that there were no American buyers present. General Comments Considering the year and all its problems the Draught Society were happy with the Sale, there was a very big gathering of breeders, probably the biggest crowd on record, this in itself is very encouraging. Presentation of stock in the ring was good, yet on several lost where a mare and foal was in the ring, while the mare was not for sale, her presentation let a lot to be desired, and took from the appearance and vale of the foal. Conformation and presentation of the mare where shown with the foal is very important. The auctioneers tried hard to sell every animal presented. Brendan McArdle reading out the pedigrees was a very suitable replacement for Michael Slavin.
