Comments on the Sale - There was a big crowd in attendance on all three days resulting in a brisk trade.
- Generally the better quality stock was sold in Day one and Day two.
- Stock in general were very well presented, there has been a marked improvement in recent years.
- More colt foals sold on Day three which had an influence on the overall average price.
Breeding background of some of the top priced stock - Lot 60 Edengar Lady – a filly foal by Coolcronan Wood out of a Crosstown Dancer mare was sold for €14,2000 This foal was a first prize winner in Ballyshannon and Oughterard Shows
- Lot 48 Filly foal by Coolcronan Wood out of a Sea Crest mare bred by Padraig Fitzpatrick, Manorhamiliton, Co Leitrim. This foal was sold for €7,100
- Lot 122 Corraslira Mist – grey mare by Merrymate out of a Knaves of Hearts mare. Exhibited by H. Millar was sold for €14,700.
- Lot 186 A grey filly foal by Welcome Diamond out of a Fast Silver mare sold to an English buyer for €8,000.
- Lot 194 A filly foal by All The Diamonds out of Powerswood Purple mare was sold for €11,000
- Lot 264 An nine year old grey mare by Sea Crest out of a King Elvis mare. Exhibited by Eamon and Gladys McArdle was sold for €16,000.
- Lot 298 A five year old dapple grey mare by Dunkerrin Grey Mist out a Ginger Dick mare was sold to a buyer from Northern Ireland for €17,000.
